We are glad to welcome our Senior Fellow Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans Joas at the KFG.
Hans Joas is Ernst Troeltsch Professor for the Sociology of Religion at the Humboldt University of Berlin and Visiting Professor of Sociology and Social Thought at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on social philosophy and sociological theory, especially American pragmatism and historicism; sociology of religion and sociology of war and violence; and changing values in modern society. He is Senior Fellows at the KFG in the summer semester 2023, where he works on a book with the working title Universalism: World Domination and the Ethos of Humanity.
